Saturday mornings in the main ring always starts with traditional children's races
"Its the best show, its a lot of fun, with plenty to do for everyone, I would recommend it to everybody"
Starting at 9am in the Main Ring on Saturday - for all Primary & Pre-school children
This year the Show is celebrating 150 years of cycling, probably the oldest cycle race in the world. Victoria Pendleton and Laura Kenny have raced at Heckington, we are looking for future champions!
The children’s cycling activities have been changed, do have a look and take part.
Get Set will be a number of smaller activities, you can try one or all of them.
The cycling races will be shorter, 80m, the same as the running.
Finally, there will be a bike park, just bring a lock, so you can leave your bike before and after the race. ( Bikes are parked at the owner’s risk) Why not have a go and be part of a 150 year tradition.
The cycling races are only open to children of Heckington or Helpringham Primary Schools, or primary school children resident in the parish of Heckington
Children's Cycling Races Event 1 - School Boys - 1 lap Cycle race (scratch) Event 2 - School Girls - 1 lap Cycle race (scratch) (This event is limited to the pupils of Heckington and Helpringham Primary Schools, or primary school children resident in the parish of Heckington)
