Horticulture, Cookery and Arts
The Horticulture section incorporates Horticulture, Floral Art, Cookery, Honey, Wine, Handicrafts, Art and Photography, as well as a large selection of Horticulture Trade-stands.
The Horticulture Marquee is at the very heart of Heckington Show. With an array of vegetables, floral displays, cakes and crafts, there is something for everyone. It provides a perfect opportunity for everyone to get involved and take part in this very traditional festival and to show just what they have produced over the year.
There are over 30 different cups, bowls and trophies to be won in what is always a highly competitive atmosphere. Entries for most classes are open to all, with special sections for Heckington residents & members of Heckington Gardening Club.
There are junior sections in cookery, handicraft, art & photography and a competition is run each year in the local schools to design the front cover of the children’s schedule and this year a new horticulture section for the Under 16's.
