Terms & Conditions
The show committee aim to provide a safe, friendly and enjoyable event for participants and visitors. We expect anyone visiting the show to conduct themselves with normal common sense, consideration for others and have due regard for both their own safety and that of others around them in the full knowledge that they are visiting an agricultural show under the generally accepted definition of such an event.
Our Health and Safety Policy is monitored and regulated by the relevant authorities and a copy of the full document is available on site for inspection.
The following terms and conditions apply:
No vehicle movement is allowed on the showground after 9am each day.
The Committee reserves the right to cancel or change any event
Betting is strictly prohibited
The decision of the Judges is final
No delays by competitors will be allowed.
Heats may be arranged to save time at the referee’s discretion
The grounds are, by their very nature, uneven; care should be taken whilst moving around the show fields. The Committee will not be responsible for any accident or damage to competitors, spectators or their property
Cars are parked at the owner’s risk and dogs should never be left in unattended vehicles.
Well behaved dogs on leads are permitted - we have water points across the showfield. Dogs that are listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted on site
The Committee reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Show in the event of inclement weather. We will endeavour to refund all entrance fees and tickets if the show is cancelled in advance. Please see the Trade Stands page for the trade stands cancellation policy.
Expenses or additional costs will not be paid to any person in the case of postponement or cancellation.
The Committee reserves the right to refuse admission to any person or persons to the grounds; in the interests of security, we reserve the right to carry out bag / person searches
Unauthorised sale of alcohol or other goods is strictly prohibited. Alcohol purchased at the on site bars must only be consumed within the bar area.
The recommendation is that all horses, ponies and donkeys entering the showground should be vaccinated against equine influenza, according to British Horseracing Association guidelines, with the last vaccination having been administered no more than 365 days prior to entry to the showground. All equines must have completed the primary course of two vaccinations. The last vaccination must have been administered at least 7 days before entering the showground.
Photographs and images of people and events taken at the show by our photographer/s may be used by the Committee for publicity purposes. All photographs on this website are copyright and should not be used without the express permission of the owner
Photographers taking photos at the show should be mindful of who may be included in any picture taken. As this is a public area, we ask that photographers act responsibly and respect the privacy of others.
The unauthorised use of drones across any of the Show ground is not permitted. This is to safeguard the animals and people on site.
The Society cannot be held responsible for links to external websites
Heckington and District Agricultural Show shall accept no liability whatsoever for any losses suffered by applicants or stallholders in the event that the Heckington Show is cancelled, or if there shall be any alteration to its date or venue at short notice or otherwise. All trade-stand deposits will be refunded in the event that the applicants are unable to take up booking due to any of the above mentioned occurrences.
We do not offer concessions (including OAP or disabled visitors), as we keep our prices low for everyone. Please see our carer policy.
No ticket refunds are given.

Disclaimer of Liability - all badges, tickets, etc are sold subject to the organisers reserving the right to refuse admission to the showground to any person/s, or to withdraw permission at any time to remain on the showground and shall not be required to give a reason for such action. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are responsible, neither the organisers of Heckington & District Agricultural Society, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury to horses or livestock, owners, participants, spectators, land or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.
